MEDISCRUBS ARE GIVING BACK TO THOSE IN NEED

In April, 2021, Mediscrubs was able to give back by donating many boxes of nursing scrubs, lab coats and jackets consisting of seconds, old stock and mixed colours to THE LOANIALU HEALTH CLINIC  in Vanuatu. As a volunteered powered organisation, the clinic is able to help many people with health concerns, pregnant women with antenatal care, children’s health issues, the list goes on.

Mediscrubs are proud to be a Sponsor

As many of you may be aware the Vanuatu government struggles to give optimum health care and the Loanialu Health Clinic Inc. can assist them with the treatments we administer in the remote area of Loanialu, and the clinic is a vital resource for the local community.

Exciting things are happening in Vanuatu!

The past year has produced many health benefits to one community in Vanuatu that suffer greatly from food poverty, an extremely difficult environment to live, and an absence of much needed health care. The Loanialu Health Clinic Committee proposal seeks to attract funding needed to establish and deliver a new Clinic in the Loanialu area Tanna Is. Vanuatu. More than a health facility, this project represents an opportunity to create an effective and sustainable legacy model of preventative healthcare that can be delivered to the Tanna community. Providing the people of Loanialu with an easy-to-access, safe, and sustainable healthcare facility will improve the health of the overall population and may provide much wider social, economic, and environmental benefits for Vanuatu. Additionally, the long-term vision is to replicate this health care model across Vanuatu for the benefit of all. There is a convincing business case for a new, improved Clinic. The existing facility lacks essential services such as electricity, accessible and potable running water is not weatherproofed or protected against the permeating volcanic ash in the region, and critically, is not able to provide beds to accommodate sick individuals. A shortage in government funding available, combined with the remote geographical location and limited transport options available to the local community means that sadly many lives are lost. This includes the lives of mothers and babies that experience complications during childbirth, which could have been easily prevented if sufficient early intervention measures were in place. The Loanialu Health Clinic Committee is seeking help that would contribute tax-deductible money aid in helping to establish a new Clinic in the financial year of 2021. The Clinic will service six tribes of approximately 6,000 7,000 adults not including children in the local and surrounding community.

There is strong support for enhancing the Loanialu Health Clinic across government; community and health sector bodies in Vanuatu as well as the wider local community. It is the aim of the Loanialu Health Clinic Committee to attract sufficient funding to enable sustainable and effective operations in the long- term, thus servicing the thousands in the community who depend on the Clinic for basic, yet critical preventative healthcare services. The Loanialu Health Clinic Committee still need to raise $ 80,000 to complete stage one of this program.

100% of all monies raised goes directly to the  Clinic

With the financial year approaching could you please keep them in mind  as a recipient to receive your tax deduction money.
